About Tina
Tina loves working together with children and adults to help them conquer their communication challenges. She is passionate about involving families, partners, teachers and other professionals to provide holistic care for her clients. She enjoys working together to provide the best possible outcome for her clients.
Tina has experience working with children with speech sound disorders/delays, developmental language delays and literacy difficulties including dyslexia. She works with children with disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum and Intellectual Disability. She has also worked with children with selective mutism.
Tina has worked with adults with neurodegenerative disorders, such as Parkinson's Disease and Huntington's Disease, to manage their communication and swallowing changes. She has experience in working with adults with lifelong disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability and Down Syndrome. She's passionate about functional communication and facilitating everyone's ability to deliver their message and advocate for themselves. She also helps individuals who are interested in modifying their accents to improve their communication in their personal and professional lives.
She is experienced in treating individuals who stutter using the Lidcombe and Camperdown Programs. She is trained in HANEN āIt Takes Two to Talkā and DIR/Sensory Connections āThe Action is in the Interactionā and has experience using Key Word Sign. Tina has done PROMPT Bridging training.
She speaks Shanghainese (dialect of Mandarin) and conversational Mandarin. She has experience working with and assessing clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, which contributes to her ability to develop strong connections with all families.
