Are you someone who talks a lot for your work? Perhaps you are a teacher, salesperson or fitness instructor needing to project your voice effectively?
Eastside Speech is now offering voice care workshops for professional voice users – those who rely on their voice to do their job. Professional voice users include, but are not limited to:
- Teachers/lecturers
- Religious leaders
- Call centre workers
- Fitness coaches
- Auctioneers and salespeople
- Singers and actors
- Television and radio presenters
Research suggests that these occupations are at far greater risk of developing voice injuries than the average person, due to the increased demands placed on their voices. In fact, over 70% of our previous participants reported that they had experienced voice problems in their line of work prior to attending the workshop.
Voice care is extremely important for these professionals, in order for employers to fulfil their Work Health and Safety requirements, and ensure their staff are safe and not exposed to injury at work.
Our voice care workshops run for approximately 1 hour, and are delivered at your workplace by an experienced voice therapist. Workshops are interactive and will cover the following topics with your team:
Workshop Topics
- WHS requirements
- Factors affecting vocal health at work
- Reducing the impact of adverse factors
- Developing vocal fitness
- Dealing with a voice disorder
