Why did I become a speech pathologist?
I became a speech pathologist because I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of communication, human connection, and meaningful change. During my studies and early clinical experiences, I saw how communication challenges can impact every part of a person’s life — identity, relationships, independence. Supporting someone to find their voice, regain swallowing safety, or reconnect with their world felt like work that genuinely mattered. That sense of purpose has stayed with me across both paediatric and adult practice, shaping the clinician I am today.
Why do I love working at Eastside?
Working at Eastside brings out the best in my practice. I love the collaborative culture, the way clinicians genuinely learn from one another, and the shared commitment to evidence‑based, person‑centred care. The pace is energising, the team is warm, and the environment encourages growth without losing sight of compassion. It’s a workplace where I feel trusted, supported, and able to deliver therapy that aligns with my values.
What is my favourite place in the world?
Ireland of course !
